Stora Segerstad Nature Conservation Centre is now looking for an engaged and knowledgeable employee for teaching in the subject of Forestry Machinery. Here, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a sustainable forestry industry while helping to develop the next generation of forestry machine operators.

The Role of Forestry Machinery Instructor

As an instructor, you will be responsible for teaching forestry machinery and technology, both theoretically and practically. You will plan, conduct, and follow up on education in accordance with subject goals and the school's quality requirements, and guide students in practical tasks. In your work, you are close to the students and help them develop their professional competence, safety awareness, and professional pride. You also collaborate with colleagues and industry contacts and actively contribute to the school's development work. You are offered a permanent full-time position with a start date by agreement.

Your Future Workplace

You will become part of a team of teachers and instructors who together create a learning environment where both students and colleagues develop. You have access to two harvesters, seven forwarders, as well as several simulators and fixed cranes, along with workshop and training facilities specifically adapted for our forestry education. Field training takes place at various locations in the Gislaved, Gnosjö, and Värnamo regions, where we carry out real harvesting assignments.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have relevant education or documented experience in forestry machinery and who have good professional experience from machine operation in the forestry industry. You have pedagogical ability and a genuine interest in working with young people. At the same time, you are responsible, self-initiating, and have an easy time collaborating. Good knowledge of Swedish is required, as is a B driving license, preferably with additional endorsements. Formal pedagogical education or qualification is meritorious but not a requirement. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
