RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to take a leading role in future-proofing Växjö Municipality by developing a digital and data-driven urban planning process? Then you might be the one we are looking for!

The Urban Planning Administration works to develop, manage, and future-proof the city, urban areas, and rural areas. Our responsibility extends from early planning to execution and construction, as well as the operation and maintenance of the built environment.

We offer you a unique opportunity to be part of the development of our digital and data-driven urban planning process. We are looking for you who thrive working at a strategic, operational, and technical level:

  • You are operationally active and work to ensure that our systems and software based on geographic information can integrate and exchange data with each other throughout the entire urban planning process, from early planning to execution and construction, as well as operation, management, and maintenance.
  • You work closely and are part of a team of colleagues with expertise in geodata and GIS, among other things.
  • You manage and document integration flows, data models, and API connections so that the administration has a clear, traceable, and sustainable technical foundation linked to its processes.
  • You participate in procurement and requirement setting when new systems and services are to be connected to the platform, ensuring that the integration perspective and geodata requirements are included from the start.
  • You contribute to developing strategies, projects, and pilots to test and implement solutions for digital twins and 3D modeling, connected sensors, and facilities, etc.
  • You belong to the development group on the Strategy and Planning department, which also consists of the geodata unit, the strategy unit, and the planning unit.
  • You report to the department manager and the administration's management group.

QUALIFICATIONS

WHO ARE YOU?

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university or college degree in Urban Planning (e.g., Roads and Water, Land Surveying, CAD/BIM, GIS, Building Technology, Civil Engineering, or similar) or in IT (e.g., Systems Science, Databases, Computer Science, System Development, or similar).
  • Previous experience working with digitalization within either urban planning or other similar industries such as industry, manufacturing, within a municipality, consulting firm, property company, construction company, contractor, or similar.
  • Experience and knowledge of data management, databases, integrations, and data platforms.
  • Knowledge of GIS, 3D modeling, CAD/BIM, or equivalent.

Merits:

  • We would appreciate if you have previous experience as an integration architect, solution architect, or similar.
  • Experience with integration tools (FME Desktop and Flow, Azure Integration Services, or similar).
  • Knowledge of standards within geodata and/or CAD/BIM (e.g., CityGML, IFC, CoClass).
  • You have worked with ArcGIS Enterprise or other GIS platforms in a technical role, e.g., as a system administrator or integration developer.
  • Experience in the public sector and is accustomed to the requirements placed on municipal operations regarding information security, GDPR, and the principle of public access.
