Job Description
On the Rural Affairs Department, we work for a vibrant countryside with good food production and sound food management. We work with environmental goals in focus and strive to preserve and develop rural businesses from a social, ecological, and economic perspective. The department consists of approximately 150 employees who will eventually be located in Borås, Mariestad, Vänersborg, and Gothenburg. The department has three units, divided into functions.
The Rural Support function handles, among other things, a large number of grants within the Strategic Plan and the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF) programme. This ranges from start-up grants for livestock buildings, processing, and fishing. We work flexibly to meet the inflow of cases and fulfill our mission in the best possible way. The case handler group consists of approximately 15 employees located in four places.
We are now recruiting a payment case handler for payments within the Strategic Plan and the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF) programme.
The main responsibilities of the position are to, together with colleagues, be responsible for:
We are always developing our operations, so you need to be open to the possibility that your tasks may change over time based on operational needs.

Personal qualities
To succeed in the role of payment case handler, you need to enjoy meeting people, building good relationships, and establishing trust with those you meet. You are self-reliant and solve problems on your own initiative and in collaboration with others. You need to thrive working both in a group and independently.
You have the ability to see the bigger picture and keep focus on the goals we are set to achieve, adapting your work accordingly. You find ways to move forward in your work, even if you are venturing into unknown territory. You also see what needs to be done and take initiative to handle needs or problems that arise. You do this with care for the time and resources available to us through efficient management. You understand the responsibility that comes with working as a state civil servant.
Your judgment is good, and you have a good ability to make appropriate assessments and make independent decisions regarding handling, but you also know when it is time to escalate an issue up the organization.
The changed needs of the operations require you to have a flexible approach. This means you need to be prepared to handle several different measures and learn new things as assignments or inflow change.
Developing working methods, both digitally and practically, is part of the job, and it is important that you are comfortable with this.
