About the position

As a night nurse with us, you play a vital role in providing patients with safe and secure care. Nursing care is at the forefront, and you actively work to anticipate, prevent, and manage potential deterioration and complications. Together with nursing colleagues and assistant nurses, you are responsible for patient care and plan and carry out relevant measures.

On our internal medicine ward, we treat patients with renal and endocrinological diseases. We have both planned and emergency admissions, giving you the opportunity to develop broad competence in internal medicine. Many of our patients also require surgical interventions, meaning you will gain experience in pre- and postoperative care as well as knowledge in surgery and orthopedics.

Our renal medicine focus is unique as we are the only ward in southern Stockholm performing peritoneal dialysis. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop specialized competence in both manual and machine peritoneal dialysis. We also collaborate closely with Hemodialysis and outpatient services to ensure the best possible continuity of care for patients.

Our goal is to help and support individuals living with lifelong treatment or chronic disease to maintain or improve their quality of life. Within endocrinology, we treat patients with newly diagnosed diabetes or diabetes-related complications such as diabetic foot ulcers and ketoacidosis.

We work in a person-centered manner and in close collaboration with patients and their relatives. Together with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, and social workers, we create conditions for safe and cohesive care. As a nurse, you have leadership responsibility in teams with assistant nurses and lead the nursing care around the patient.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Swedish nursing license.
• At least one year of experience in emergency care.

Merits:

• Experience in care within renal medicine, dialysis, or diabetes.
