Within the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (Bup) inpatient care area in Malmö, there are two ward units, an acute ward, and an emergency clinic that is region-wide, serving children and adolescents up to 18 years of age. The area of operation also includes FACT, the regional Bup trauma teams, the team for psychosis and bipolar conditions, and the gender identity clinic. The inpatient care for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is in an exciting phase of development with new initiatives in inpatient care for children and adolescents.

Ward 2 offers highly specialized care to children and young people in need of treatment for eating disorders, where the psychiatric condition needs to be stabilized. There is often comorbidity with other child psychiatric conditions such as mood disorders, self-harm behavior, suicidality, and post-traumatic difficulties. The ward's mission is to raise the patient's level of functioning so that they can benefit from continued care in outpatient services. We use evidence-based treatment methods in accordance with national care and intervention programs. On the unit, we work based on standardized care processes (SVP).

At Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Ward 2, we offer 8+2 (BI) care beds and work in a cross-professional manner with the child and family at the center. Through early collaboration with external actors such as neighboring care providers, social services, and schools, we aim to ensure a patient-centered focus. Our goal is that the patient should never need to be cared for in inpatient care longer than the condition requires.

We have recently moved to new, better-adapted premises, as an important step to strengthen the sense of security for children and young people in need of care in Skåne. Here we have better conditions to create security from the very beginning in a calm and green environment.

We are now looking for a medical secretary for a 6-month temporary position, starting as soon as possible.

Are you a medical secretary who thrives in a role as the hub of the network and an important colleague for the structure of the operation? The work assignments include standard secretarial tasks such as medical record writing, administrative handling of involuntary care, referral management, and registration work. Other administrative tasks are also included, such as APT protocols, administering permissions for employees, Raindance, IT orders, 1177, and attendance registration, among others.

We are proud that Bup Skåne is at the forefront regarding digitalization. We are now ready to take further steps and move forward with introducing new digital solutions on our units within inpatient care.

To ensure that you as a new employee thrive and get into the work easily, we offer you an introduction based on your previous experience. The position is scheduled on weekdays, and we offer flexible working hours. Work may occasionally occur for a couple of days during major holidays once a year to ensure quality registration.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a approved education in Health and Medical Administration 80 credits (KY) / 400 credits (YH) or equivalent medical secretary education. You have good knowledge of medical terminology and good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. It is meritorious if you have worked within or have an interest in psychiatric operations. Knowledge of common IT systems such as Melior, Pasis/Våps, QlikView, or Excel is also meritorious.
