You will belong to the school administrative unit – a competent and experienced team with a great sense of humor. The position is new within the department and offers some opportunity to be shaped in consultation with your direct manager.

As a Department Controller, you will have a key role in developing management, quality, and long-term sustainability in the municipality's culture and education activities. You will work closely with departmental management and the political level, contributing to decisions that make a real difference for children and students in Degerfors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you are responsible for, among other things:

• Developing and ensuring the quality of the department's planning, budgeting, and follow-up processes.
• Coordinating and supporting systematic quality work at the school unit and authority level.
• Producing analyses and decision support materials for the board and departmental management.
• Following up on and communicating the board's decisions and assignments within the organization.
• Participating in networks and development work to strengthen the department's working methods.

Additionally, the role includes:

• Process coordination and work on creating and revising steering and support documents.
• Coordination of state grants.
• Producing materials for organizational and school structure planning.
• Drafting official statements (remissyttranden).

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have:

• A university degree in pedagogy, public administration, political science, or another relevant education that the employer deems equivalent.
• Several years of experience in qualified business management and quality work, preferably within public administration.
• Experience working in politically governed operations.
• Good ability to work consultatively with managers regarding analysis and planning work.
• Good computer and system proficiency, as well as experience working in multiple parallel systems.
• Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.

As a person, you are analytical, goal- and result-oriented, and have a good holistic view. You understand the driving forces in a politically governed organization and take initiative for development and improvement.

Meritorious:

• Experience in school law or work with steering documents within the school sector.
• Experience working with curricula in different school forms.
• Knowledge of other relevant legislation, such as the Administrative Procedure Act or the Local Government Act.
• We place great emphasis on personal competencies and abilities.

Salary: Monthly salary.
