The Department of R&D UI Geriatrics belongs to Skåne University Hospital's (Sus) central administrative support functions. Various development projects and research are conducted at the unit.

Our largest research unit is GÅS (Good Ageing in Skåne), which is a large study where randomly randomized research participants aged 60 and over are followed over a long period. In addition to the Mobile Team covering Hässleholm, Ystad, and Eslöv, GÅS also has a team in Malmö.

WORK ASSIGNMENTS

We are looking for a medical secretary and an important puzzle piece for our mobile research team. The team consists of a medical secretary, nurse, assistant nurse, test leader, and physician. In addition to these professions, the unit has a large number of researchers who research the data that the teams closest to the research participants receive.

As a medical secretary, you have a driving role as the hub in the network, where many tasks differ significantly from a traditional secretarial position. You work to a small extent in the systems Melior and Pasis. A large part of the work consists of other administrative tasks. An important part is talking to research participants via phone to motivate them to participate and come to the clinic.

In the mobile team, the work alternates between Hässleholm, Ystad, and Eslöv. The length of the period spent in each location varies between approximately 6 months to 2 years. For commuting to work, it is therefore an advantage to live in a location with good access to train connections. The employer covers travel costs and part of the travel time, but you should be prepared for sometimes long travel times.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you if you have approved education in Health and Medical Administration (80 credits KY or 400 credits YH) or alternatively a medical secretary education. The position requires good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good knowledge of medical terminology. It is meritorious if you have previous experience in administrative work and preferably work within research. Experience with Office packages, Pasis, and Raindance marketplace is also meritorious.

As a person, you are positive, proactive, and meticulous in your work. We see that you are flexible and have a good ability to prioritize between different tasks when the pace varies. You can also adapt your working method when circumstances require it. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
