Gimo Health Centre, with branches in Österbybruk and Alunda, is part of Uppsala County Council. We work with primary care and health for the residents of Uppsala County. Our 1,800 employees offer a wide range of services within primary care. Patients meet us at our own health centres, within habilitation services, or via telephone advice through 1177. Education, research, and development are central to our work, as we constantly adapt our services to the needs of the residents. We already offer modern solutions such as mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services.

Are you a licensed physician planning to start your Specialist Training (ST) in General Practice soon?

For licensed physicians, we now offer a fixed-term full-time position. The position includes educational benefits and starts as agreed. There is also an opportunity to transition to an ST position in the future.

We focus on secure employment and a good benefits package through our collective agreement. In addition to your individual development plan, we hold regular district physician days where all primary care physicians receive further education. This creates a large network of knowledgeable colleagues.

Your Role

In the role of licensed physician, you will work in close collaboration with all professions at the health centre. Your duties consist of reception work with varied tasks. You are offered a varied and exciting clinical daily life within rural medicine, which also includes some on-call duties and standby.

In addition to the standard duties, you will have the opportunity to prepare for your Specialist Training (ST). We offer supervision, study time at the workplace, and the opportunity to participate in ST seminars. Your working hours can be credited towards any future ST training.

Your Competence

We are looking for you with a Swedish medical license. Experience from working in primary care is desirable, as is a focus on ST in General Practice. You should possess good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, and have a good understanding of the Swedish healthcare system. You view good patient interaction as one of your most important tools. Furthermore, you have a desire to develop the operations together with other employees. You are flexible, curious, and enjoy working in a team. Personal qualities are highly valued.

Our Operations

Gimo Health Centre with the branches Alunda and Österbybruk has approximately 12,000 registered patients and about 60 employees. We have a strong interest in education and research, especially for our own staff, which is highly appreciated by nursing and medical students, as well as AT, ST, and BT physicians.

At our centre, flexibility, interest in development, and providing good service to residents are highly valued. All professional areas within the health centre's mandate are represented, and we also have a youth clinic. You will have great opportunities to help shape the operations and take responsibility for certain tasks or areas.
