Our Operations
Clinical Chemistry and Pharmacology (CCF) is part of the Academic Laboratory operational area. We provide round-the-clock highly specialized diagnostics and offer qualified guidance within chemistry and pharmacology. The department handles approximately 6,500 test tubes per working day. Our analyses are fast, quality-assured, and designed to support healthcare processes as well as promote research and development.
We also provide support to patient-oriented activities within both inpatient and outpatient care, as well as sample collection during office hours at Akademiska University Hospital and at the laboratory at the Hospital in Enköping. Approximately 140 employees work within CCF, and we strive to be an attractive workplace characterized by professionalism, engagement, and good leadership.
Your Role
As a Biomedical Analyst at Clinical Chemistry and Pharmacology, you are offered a qualified and varied job in a high-tech laboratory environment. The tasks include independent laboratory work, including pre-analytical work, assessment, and technical approval of analyses. You will have a primary focus on one of our laboratories for special analyses and will primarily work with cell and molecular biological methods, genotyping, and flow cytometry. The role also involves responsibility for contributing to diagnostics, education, information, and quality assurance within the operations.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed Biomedical Analyst. It is meritorious if you have experience of similar tasks from other hospital laboratories. Furthermore, it is meritorious to have knowledge in cell biology, PCR, and genetics where good manual handling is required.
Your Competence
You have good cooperation skills, a humble attitude, and share your knowledge. The work involves varying pace and requires the ability to quickly get into new tasks and to work both individually and in groups.
Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement for the position as the work involves communication, documentation, and quality assurance in Swedish.
Personal suitability and the ability to quickly get into the work will be given great importance.
We Offer
Permanent employment 100%, at Clinical Chemistry and Pharmacology, Akademiska University Hospital. Start date according to agreement. Probation period may apply.
After completed training, the role includes daytime shifts (Monday – Friday, 8:00-16:45). Once you are settled in the work, there is an opportunity to work night shifts (evenings and weekends). For regular work at inconvenient hours, a fixed salary supplement and compensation per inconvenient shift are paid, in addition to regular on-call and overtime compensation.
