We are looking for you who are a psychologist and want to be part of our team and help develop our work to create opportunities for people with disabilities to live a good life. We offer a permanent full-time position with a start date as agreed.

You will work in the habilitation unit in Enköping. We offer convenient working hours with weekends and public holidays off.

Your Role

As a psychologist with us, you play an important role in the team-based treatment and investigation work. You will work with children, adolescents, and all target groups within habilitation. You contribute psychological expertise and take significant responsibility for conducting qualified assessments, mappings, investigations, as well as treatments, treatment plans, and evaluations.

Transmitting knowledge about disabilities and their consequences through education, and providing tools to handle different life situations for users and their networks through supervision, are also important tasks. The work is independent and varied, offering good opportunities for professional and personal development.

Our Operations

The Habilitation in Uppsala County belongs to the Primary Care and Health administration in Region Uppsala and has been a "leading habilitation" for many years. We are a specialized operation with our core expertise in autism, intellectual disabilities, and various forms of congenital motor impairments, addressing children, adolescents, and adults with disabilities. We work to create conditions for independence and an active life through developmental, supportive, and compensatory measures. Our cross-professional teams are located in Enköping, Tierp, Uppsala, and Östhammar.

The operation is characterized by development and an evidence-based approach, and you will receive stimulating and varied work. Competence development and experience exchange occur continuously within the habilitation's own operations. Each profession also has regular meetings to ensure equal competence across the county's different units. Within the administration, there is a research and development department aimed at stimulating and supporting development work.

Psychologists within the habilitation have access to continuous internal and external group supervision from experienced psychologists. As a new employee within the habilitation, you are also offered a mentor during your first year.

The unit in Enköping serves both children, adolescents, and adults in Enköping and Håbo municipalities and all disability groups. We consist of 24 employees with professions such as social worker, physiotherapist, psychologist, speech therapist, administrator, occupational therapist, special educator, and team leader. In addition, we have access to dietitians, nurses, and doctors. Our diverse competencies make us versatile and flexible.

Your Competence

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist. Since the operation's interventions are based on learning theory, it is an advantage if you have such a focus.

The work requires that you have good cooperation skills, thrive in and have experience working in teams, but also have the ability to work independently. You should have a desire to develop the operation together with other employees in the unit. As a person, you are clear in your communication and structured in your work approach. You have good pedagogical skills and a welcoming attitude, and can easily establish contact with patients, relatives, and colleagues. A B-class driver's license is required.
