Personal Assistant Wanted for 21-Year-Old Woman in Jönköping

We are currently looking for at least one personal assistant for a 21-year-old woman in Jönköping with extensive and lasting support needs.

The user has diagnoses of cerebral palsy (CP) and severe intellectual disability. The assignment involves providing support in daily life and contributing to a safe, structured, and meaningful existence based on her individual needs.

We need particular reinforcement on weekdays, mainly in the morning and around lunchtime. Working hours and degree of employment are planned in dialogue with the family and employer.

About the Role

As a personal assistant, you are an important part of the user's daily life. You work closely with the user and her family to create safety, continuity, and predictability in everyday life.

The work can be both physically and mentally demanding, which places high demands on patience, stability, and the ability to handle different situations with calm and professionalism.

Job Responsibilities

The tasks may include among other things:

• Personal hygiene
• Dressing and undressing
• Support during meals and feeding
• Accompaniment to doctors, habilitation, and other healthcare contacts
• Support in creating structure, safety, and predictability in daily life
• Social support and activation based on the user's conditions

We are looking for you who

• Have the ability to work calmly, methodically, and structured
• Can communicate clearly and simply through short phrases and a calm approach
• Have understanding for people with extensive disabilities and needs for individually adapted support
• Can notice early signs of stress, anxiety, or discomfort and act preventively
• Have good collaboration skills and a professional attitude

Meritorious Qualifications

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience in personal assistance, care, or work with people with special needs
• Knowledge of cerebral palsy (CP) and severe intellectual disability
• Experience in meeting people with sensory sensitivity
• Knowledge of low-affective approach (low-arousal approach)
• Knowledge of Swedish and Ukrainian
• Category B driver's license
