Our F-6 organization consists of 14 primary schools and one adapted primary school, divided into 9 different principal areas. In each principal area, there is a leadership team consisting of the principal, deputy principals, and a student health team comprising various professions. With schools in both rural areas and urban centers, we work to increase equality and integration within and between schools, as well as strengthen the quality of our municipal primary education. Our goal is to create good conditions for learning and an education that results in good knowledge and high goal achievement.

Släbro School

Welcome to a workplace where opportunities grow and a new school with occupancy in January 2027. The new Släbro School is built for 700 students; today, Släbro School has approximately 440 students distributed from preschool class to grade 6.

Our school operations work from an inclusive perspective and strive to be a school for all. We believe in every individual student and see opportunities before obstacles. We have a well-functioning student health service that works closely with the students and our educators. Together, we are approximately 70 educators who create school development daily. Släbro is looking for a teacher who wants to teach Swedish, English, and preferably Art to grade 5, starting in August 2026.

Job Description

Nyköping Municipality is looking for a teacher who wants to make a difference for the students in their lifelong learning. We work based on the school curriculum and use digital tools in the work with pedagogical documentation. Our operations are permeated by a salutogenic perspective, and we have strong faith in the students' abilities. The role as a teacher includes planning, implementation, and follow-up of teaching. You evaluate and develop the pedagogical work based on the school's governing documents and the students' needs and interests, both individually and together with the team.

You will be part of a team where you are expected to contribute actively with a solution- and result-oriented approach. You work in a team with teacher colleagues, student assistants/support persons. Your joint task is to lead and support the students in their social and academic development.

You will be a mentor for a class and teach within the team.

Qualifications

You have a teacher's degree and certification and are authorized to teach Swedish, English, and possibly Art, issued by the Swedish National Agency for Education. You have clear pedagogical insight and the ability to translate the curriculum's goals into your work. You have clear leadership skills and stand strong in your student groups. You are flexible, structured, and well-prepared. You are a present and co-researching educator who challenges and stimulates students to develop. A strong belief in collaboration as a success factor for pedagogical development is a given for you. You have a direct and humble communication with guardians and create trusting relationships with students and guardians.
