About Viljan SelfHelp

Viljan SelfHelp is located just outside Söderhamn. We are a residential care home (HVB) offering treatment to women and men aged 18 and older with issues related to substance abuse/addiction, criminality, and mental health. At Viljan SelfHelp, therapists, nurses, doctors, and social pedagogues/treatment pedagogues work for the benefit of our clients. Our methods are CBT-based treatment and 12-step treatment, with the goal of raising the client's level of functioning.

About the role of Treatment Pedagogue

The work involves being involved in our clients' daily lives and treatment, as well as collaborating well with colleagues. The duties include building relationships to provide support and help for self-help. You should also be able to offer individual motivational interviews. In addition, you will be involved in the client's and the organization's activities, as well as in the daily operations of the residential home.

We expect you to have a professional and empathetic approach with a good ability for clear and direct communication. You should be computer literate and comfortable with documentation. We work with commitment in everything concerning our clients. You are calm, stable, and can maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have problem-solving analytical skills, work well with complex issues, and can quickly analyze situations and make decisions. You have good collaboration skills, relate to others in a listening manner, and enjoy working with other professions, always keeping the individual in focus.

Qualifications

You are relationship-building and have a good ability to establish contact with people in vulnerable situations. You are calm, stable, and can maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can see the individual's needs.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education, two years or longer
  • Category B driver's license
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Computer literacy, experience with documentation

Terms of Employment

Role: Social Pedagogue / Treatment Pedagogue

Employment Type: Permanent with probationary period

Work Hours: 100%

Working Hours: Scheduled (day, evening, weekend)

Start Date: According to agreement

Collective Agreement: We are bound by collective agreements with Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Sector E.
