Our New Assignment

We recently launched a new contract period for our vocational training in building painting. The demand in the industry is high, and we have many students. Therefore, our team of teachers needs to be expanded with one more vocational teacher right away.

About the Role

We are looking for a teacher for our adult education program in building painting. As a vocational teacher, you will teach adult students both practically and theoretically in upper secondary courses in building painting, such as Painting 1, Painting 2, Color Setting and Form, and Materials and Environment, with a focus on professional knowledge, material familiarity, and work in real painting environments.

You will lead the teaching based on the Astar Model, where clear steps, teacher-led instruction, controlled understanding, and structured guidance create the best possible conditions for students' learning, security, and professional development.

You plan and conduct teaching that gives students the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to work professionally in the painting industry. This means you alternate practical sessions, such as surface preparation, filling, painting techniques, wallpapering, and color setting, with theoretical lectures on topics such as material science, working environment, quality, and industry regulations. Through a clear teacher-led approach, high quality, progression, and a strong link between theory and practice are ensured.

The assignment also includes actively sourcing, matching, and following up on APL (Workplace-Based Learning) placements. You collaborate closely with the industry and ensure that students receive relevant and high-quality practical environments where they have the opportunity to achieve course goals. You monitor student development, communicate with supervisors, and are responsible for assessment and grading, where APL is an integrated part of the education.

As a teacher here, you work in close collaboration with working life from the start of the education and support students on their path to employment, further studies, and a strong professional identity.

We are looking for you who have

• A degree as a vocational teacher with at least 3 years of experience as a vocational teacher in building painting within the last 6 years OR
• At least 6 years of experience in building painting within the last 10 years (can also be regular education or labor market training).
• Ability to create engagement and security in the classroom.
• A genuine interest in seeing people grow and succeed.
