The Position and Duties

We are looking for an engaged social worker who wants to investigate the support needs of adults. Here, you will meet adults in need of support related to addiction issues, mental health problems, and criminality. The assignment includes qualified investigation, assessment, and follow-up of interventions according to the Social Services Act and the Care of Abusers Act, in close collaboration with internal and external actors.

In your work, you will use evidence-based methods such as Motivational Interviewing (MI) and the Addiction Severity Index (ASI) to assess needs, strengthen motivation, and contribute to lasting changes. The work also involves follow-ups at treatment homes across the country, so having a B-driver's license is an advantage.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Receive, review, and assess incoming reports and applications according to current legislation.

• Conduct home visits and outreach interventions.

• Investigate clients' needs for support according to the Social Services Act or the Care of Abusers Act.

• Approve and follow up on interventions according to laws and guidelines.

• Collaborate internally and externally to ensure coordinated interventions.

• Document securely in the business system Lifecare.

As a social worker, you collaborate closely with our adult outpatient care, our housing support teams, and other units within the administration. By complementing each other's competencies, we create a holistic perspective and strengthen the support for those we meet, always with the goal of offering the right support at the right time.

We offer you

Here, you become part of a group with high competence and a clear mission, where we work together to offer the right interventions to adults. We have established routines for secure case handling and continuously develop our methods to strengthen quality. We value our employees and offer a work environment where meaningful work, care, and collegial support are central. As an employer, we have also made a special salary investment for our authority-exercising social workers.

As a social worker here, you will have good opportunities for professional and personal development through external supervision and recurring training, including in MI, ASI, and Signs of Safety. You will receive close support from a senior social worker and a clear introduction, and as a new colleague, you can influence and contribute to the development of our working methods. To create balance in work, we offer flexibility with the possibility of remote work, as well as activities that strengthen community and job satisfaction. Here, you will have good conditions to grow in your professional role and work in a stable and well-functioning organization.

You who apply to us

Requirements:

You have a degree in social work and experience in authority exercises within social services. You have independently assessed the need for interventions and followed them up.

We consider it meritorious if you have:

• Experience working with the Addiction Severity Index (ASI), Signs of Safety, and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• Experience with investigations according to the Social Services Act and the Care of Abusers Act (LVM).

• Experience in social change work with people who have comorbidity, social psychiatric problems, or addiction issues.

• Experience in process-oriented working methods, digitalization, or improvement work.

• A B-driver's license, as the position involves follow-ups at treatment homes across the country.

As a social worker, you meet people in vulnerable life situations, which requires you to be stable and confident in your professional role. You maintain your calm even in pressured situations and can make well-founded decisions based on legislation and the individual's needs.

You work in a collaborative manner and see the value of building good relationships, both with clients, colleagues, and external actors. Your solution-oriented ability allows you to find ways forward even in complex situations, and through your analytical working method, you can understand connections, weigh different perspectives, and make secure assessments.
