Själevad School is now looking for teachers in mathematics and Science (NO) to join our team. Själevad is beautifully located by the Moälven river, approximately 6 kilometers west of central Örnsköldsvik. We are looking for you who want to be part of our team, where competence, quality, and good relationships are key ingredients in focusing on knowledge development.

For those new to the profession, Örnsköldsvik Municipality offers an induction program for new teachers. This means you will have a mentor during your first year – an experienced teacher with the same subject competence who can guide and support you.

Responsibilities

You will teach mathematics, technology, and Science subjects in grades 7–9. You will have overall responsibility for the student group and handle the documentation and contacts that come with this role. Contact and collaboration with guardians are an important part of the job. The assignment involves planning, implementing, and following up on teaching together with a work team.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a teaching degree and subject competence in mathematics, technology, and Science, or other experience that the employer considers suitable.

We seek someone who enjoys challenges and thinking outside the box, and who sees differences and diversity as a foundation for learning and development. You are a confident adult and a clear leader in the classroom. Being a role model and creating a good atmosphere in the student group and work team is natural to you.

We would appreciate if you have experience leading group processes, the ability to create structure, and the skill to adapt teaching based on the needs of the group and individuals. You are receptive, take responsibility, are engaged, and creative.

In our municipality, several positions are classified for security reasons, so a security clearance may be required. These positions may require Swedish citizenship.
