About the Unit

The Family Home Unit is tasked with recruiting, investigating, and proposing foster homes and emergency shelters to social welfare boards, as well as providing continuous support, supervision, and follow-up to the homes receiving placed children and young people. Our work is characterized by high professionalism, a clear child rights perspective, and close collaboration with municipalities.

About the Role

As a Family Home Consultant, you have an independent and responsible assignment where you are responsible for a number of emergency and foster homes. You act as a central link between the foster home and social services – and work to ensure that every placement is as safe and stable as possible. The position is part-time at 75% (30 hours/week).

Your main responsibilities:

  • Match children and young people with the right foster home – sometimes with short notice
  • Build and develop strong relationships with foster families
  • Provide support, supervision, and guidance through regular contacts and home visits
  • Follow up on placements and ensure quality and stability
  • Collaborate closely with social services and other actors
  • Recruit, investigate, and train new foster homes

This is the role for you who want to combine relationships, responsibility, and variety – and who thrive in a daily life where you make a real difference.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who not only has the right competence – but also the right drive.

You:

  • Thrive in independent and flexible work
  • Easily build trust and relationships
  • Are secure, structured, and solution-focused
  • Enjoy a fast pace and variety in daily life
  • Dare to make decisions – even in complex and sometimes acute situations
  • Have a strong commitment to the development of children and young people

Requirements

  • Relevant academic education (social worker/behavioral scientist or similar)
  • Experience in foster care work and good knowledge of SoL (Social Services Act) and BBIC (Brief Behavioral Intervention for Children)
  • Very good Swedish in speech and writing
  • Valid driver's license (Category B)

We offer

  • Meaningful work where you make a real difference
  • An operation with high quality requirements and clear working methods
  • Opportunity to influence and develop the work
  • Competitive conditions, including wellness benefits, occupational pension, and collective agreement
