Do you have the courage to lead and create a Vallentuna where people and ideas thrive? Rosendalsskolan is constantly working to give children and young people a good start in life. Do you want to contribute? Then apply to us.
Vallentuna Municipality has the courage to lead. Our ambition is to be at the forefront when it comes to innovative solutions, smart working methods, and an efficient organization. As an employee, you play an important role in this development. The municipality as a workplace is characterized by a consensus between politics and operations, where the common interest and responsibility for Vallentuna's best shine through. Treatment, accessibility, and customer focus are important in our work for good results and increased quality.
Commitment, collaboration, and the equal value of all should permeate our organization. You who apply should naturally share our common values.
About the operations:
Rosendalsskolan is a municipal school for grades F-9 located centrally in Vallentuna, close to nature areas, libraries, swimming halls, ice rinks, and more, with good transport links. The entire school has approximately 100 staff members and about 800 students. In the special education group "Atlas," 25 of them attend, divided into grades 1-3, 4-6, and 7-9.
The after-school center has access to its own premises as well as the school's other facilities, such as the gymnasium, home economics room, craft room, and music room. We have a good outdoor environment with large areas, including artificial turf fields, climbing structures, forest areas, and more.
The atmosphere at the school is characterized by high well-being, warmth, and security.
Responsibilities:
We are looking for you who want to work as a resource teacher in our special education group in grades 4-6 (students aged 10-12), as well as in grades F-3 (aged 6-8). The position offers a unique opportunity to work in a small, resource-rich unit where the individual is the focus.
As a resource teacher here, you work together with colleagues in a fixed work team. You contribute to making the students' stay at school throughout the day meaningful, enjoyable, and developmental.
The unique aspect of the position is that you are part of a team with high staff density and work in close and continuous collaboration with colleagues to ensure a consistent thread through the student's school day.
During the school day, you work in the smaller special education group and collaborate closely with other educators. Here you have great opportunities to use your interests to actively strengthen and deepen the students' knowledge development. During school holidays, you work at an age-integrated after-school department where the activities are planned jointly based on the curriculum's goals and central content, with the students' learning and development in focus.
Qualifications:
- Trained childcare worker/recreation leader.
- Experience working in a special education group or equivalent.
- Good knowledge of NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) and working with students in need of special support.
- You are well familiar with current regulatory documents.
- You master the Swedish language both orally and in writing.
Personal qualities:
- You work towards results, show reliability, and take responsibility for planning and following up on your work.
- You strengthen relationships by helping others, collaborating, following rules and processes, and sharing information.
- You develop, improve, seek solutions, learning, and knowledge on your own initiative.
- You are the link, provide service, show loyalty outwardly and inwardly, and monitor the external environment.
- Common values are visible in your treatment of others.
- As a person, you are flexible and responsive.
- You have a natural leadership role and are communicative.
- You find it easy to collaborate with both colleagues and students as well as guardians.
