Personal Assistant sought for full-time position for a 17-year-old girl in Trångsund

We are now looking for an engaged and responsible personal assistant for a 17-year-old girl with extensive care and supervision needs. Due to acute illness, we can offer a full-time position as a temporary replacement with immediate start, lasting until October 1, 2026, with a great possibility of extension.

The girl lives with her family in Trångsund and has assistance around the clock, including awake nights. As a personal assistant, you will become an important part of her daily life and work closely with both her and her family.

This lovely girl enjoys music, films, walks, and excursions. She attends school during the day, and no assistance is provided there, which means that work shifts are primarily scheduled for afternoons, evenings, and weekends. During holidays and other vacation periods, work shifts are also scheduled during daytime on weekdays.

She uses a wheelchair and has autism as well as epilepsy. As a personal assistant, you support her in all aspects of daily life – care, ADL (Activities of Daily Living), activities, and medication – while respecting her privacy, needs, and abilities. The goal is for her to be able to live as rich and secure a teenage life as possible, based on her prerequisites.

About the position

The position consists of a fixed schedule rotation which includes among other things:

• Afternoon shifts where you pick up the girl from school/daycare
• Awake night 21:00–09:00
• Shifts every other weekend from 09:00–15:00 or 15:00–21:00.

During certain periods, you work together with a colleague in the form of double assistance, which creates opportunities to carry out activities outside the home and contribute to a meaningful and content-rich daily life.

During school holidays, the girl is often at home to a greater extent, which means we are looking for you who are flexible and can adapt to her needs and daily life.
