The Preschool and Primary School Administration is one of Varberg Municipality's largest departments, with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of preschool, primary school, and child and student health services, we are here for children and students – together we shape the future.

Väröbackaskolan is a growing F-9 school with 400 students. The school is located next to rolling wheat fields in the community of Väröbacka, between Kungsbacka and Varberg. RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher with us, you play a central role in creating a safe, developmental, and motivating environment where we together create the best possible conditions for learning. By planning, implementing, and following up on your teaching, you provide students with the prerequisites to grow based on their unique needs and goals.

Main responsibilities:

• Teaching in grade 6 in English and social science subjects, as well as some special educational support interventions for individual students and small groups.
• Plan, lead, and evaluate teaching based on steering documents and chosen didactic strategies.
• Meet each student in their knowledge progression and strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-confidence through professional leadership.
• Develop stimulating learning environments that encourage learning, participation, and student influence.
• Promote a holistic view of the student's school day through close collaboration with colleagues and guardians.
• Actively participate in the school's systematic quality work and contribute to a formative approach in the pedagogical everyday life.

QUALIFICATIONS

For us, it is important that you have a genuine commitment to the teaching profession and see it as a meaningful mission to make a difference for children and young people. You are a secure pedagogical leader who, with warmth and clarity, provides guidance and creates the structure required for a safe learning environment. Collaboration with colleagues is a prerequisite for success for you; you collaborate without hierarchy to develop the operations together with others.

You are skilled at building relationships and create trusting contacts with both students and guardians. You have a good feel for the group, are flexible, possess didactic ability, and adapt your methods based on students' different needs, knowledge progression, and daily mood.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has teacher certification with eligibility for teaching in grade 6 in English and social science subjects.
• Has the ability to base your teaching on proven experience and scientific foundation.
• Demonstrates skill in planning and systematically following up on operations based on given frameworks.
• Has good assessment ability to follow up on students' development and provide constructive feedback.
• Possesses clear planning ability to structure lessons and work areas.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-08-10. Start date according to agreement.
