The Technology Department at FRA is looking for a service-oriented IT technician to help build the operations of the NCSC (National Cyber Security Centre) at FRA. Your Role

As an IT technician at FRA, you will have a varied and practical role where you work with everything from installation and support to operations and development of IT environments. You will become an important part of a team that ensures the right technology is in place – when it is needed most.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Coordinate technical orders and needs – from planning to delivery and feedback.
• Install, configure, and adapt IT equipment within the organization.
• Serve as a natural contact point between users, suppliers, and different parts of the organization.
• Work with data center services, cabling, documentation, and equipment replacement.
• Troubleshoot and provide support for IT workstations, networks, and applications.

You will step into a role that is in an exciting phase of development, giving you great opportunities to influence, take responsibility, and work independently. The position also involves travel within Sweden.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in similar tasks, such as IT technician, service desk, or first-line support.
• Experience troubleshooting IT systems.
• Experience working with Windows Server and client environments.
• Experience working with cloud services.
• Good proficiency in Swedish, with the ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency in English, with the ability to understand technical documentation.

The following qualifications are considered meritorious:

• Vocational education with an IT or electrical focus.
• Experience with agile working methods.
• Experience working with networks, copper, and fiber installations.
• Experience with documentation systems.
• Experience with monitoring tools.
• Experience working with Linux (server and client).
• Experience working with electrical tasks.
• Practical experience with data center infrastructure.

The NCSC's mission is to develop and strengthen Sweden's ability to prevent, detect, and handle cyber threats. Currently, the NCSC is in an expansive development phase where you will have the opportunity to help build a central contact point for Sweden's cybersecurity. More Information

The workplace is currently located in Tomteboda, Solna. New premises are expected to be ready in Bergshamra within a few years. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security classification. A requirement for employment is a passed security investigation with register check. The security investigation will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Employment entails an obligation to be mobilized in the event of war.
