Medical Secretary at the Cancer Centre, Region Västerbotten

Approximately 400 employees currently work at the Cancer Centre, distributed across various units within oncological inpatient and outpatient care, hematological inpatient and outpatient care, radiotherapy, clinical research, and palliative medicine. As a medical secretary with us, you play a vital role in the overall care of the patient. Here, you will enjoy a fun, independent, and varied job where you become an important part of the team. You will work in close and non-hierarchical collaboration with other staff and clinicians, creating good conditions for a pleasant work environment. We also offer opportunities to influence working hours within the framework of Monday to Friday work. Job Responsibilities

As a medical secretary with us, you provide essential service and enable interventions that impact many people.

Tasks such as dictation, mail handling, referral processing, scanning, and patient bookings are common. The role also involves providing good service to colleagues and patients, and you should feel comfortable interacting with patients.

We offer you a developing and stimulating job with personal responsibility based on our competence ladder. There are also opportunities to work partially as a coordinator for new patients. We hope you want to join us!

Qualifications

You are trained as a medical secretary/healthcare administrator and have education in medical documentation. Previous experience as a medical secretary or similar is considered an advantage.

In the role of medical secretary, you need to be responsible, meticulous, structured, flexible, and service-oriented. You have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and you express yourself well in both speech and writing.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: By agreement.
Working hours: Daytime.
