Physical Education and Health Teacher for Pops Academy Östermalm
Pops Academy Stockholm is a grades 4-9 school located on Östermalm. During the summer of 2026, the school will move to larger and more suitable premises at Vintertullstorget on Södermalm.

The school has had a new school leadership team for nearly four years, along with an expansion of special education support and school nurses, as well as certified teachers in all subjects.
About the Position
We are now looking for a Physical Education and Health teacher qualified to teach grades 7 and 8. The position is fixed-term with part-time employment; mentorship duties are not included in this role. Teachers work in subject teams at the school, focusing on joint planning and assessment. You will have PE colleagues at the school as well as subject colleagues at our other Pops schools.
Here, you will work at a music-profiled school with driven and engaged colleagues who, together with the students, find new ways to learn and understand the world around them, where digitalization is a natural part of learning. We are a small school with a strong sense of community, where everyone knows everyone – students and teachers alike. Our teaching staff works closely together in daily operations. In our collegium, we are helpful and flexible, with the student's best interests always in focus.
Previous experience teaching in primary school is considered meritorious.
We are looking for someone who
- is a qualified teacher with a teaching license
- is well-versed in the Swedish National Curriculum (Lgr 22) and other relevant regulatory documents
- builds your teaching on close pedagogical relationships with students
- is proficient in conducting differentiated instruction
- creates curiosity and engagement in the classroom
- takes initiative and proposes ideas on how to enhance and develop teaching at our school
- is a driven, independent, flexible, and knowledgeable teacher
- is a confident and clear leader focused on student goal achievement
- is passionate about meeting students in their development within the subject
- has high expectations and warm leadership
- has the ability to engage others, collaborate, and lead development together with other teachers at our Pops schools
- has good communication skills and is confident interacting with both guardians and students
- has good digital competence

Pops Academy is located in Stockholm, Umeå, and Örebro and is part of Academedias primary schools.
From August, the school will be located on Södermalm in Stockholm with good transport connections via both bus and subway.
