Are you a positive and engaged language teacher ready for new challenges? Karlbergsskolan is now looking for a qualified teacher in Swedish and English for grades 7–9.

Karlbergsskolan is a lower secondary school with approximately 400 students and 50 employees. The school is located in the central part of Köping, close to both the city center and public transport connections (bus and train). We have an active development process where the focus areas are knowledge, attendance, safety, and study environment. Karlbergsskolan's vision reads: "A safe school where everyone has the right to a good day and is equipped for the future." The lead teachers at the school drive further education work related to teaching at Karlbergsskolan. There is a music profile with approximately 15–20 students per grade.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher in Swedish and English, you plan and conduct teaching based on Chapter 1 of the Swedish National Curriculum. You conduct creative and varied teaching and help students acquire good study strategies to promote their language development. You view language as a tool for learning, identity, and participation. You are committed to ensuring that students become independent and reflective readers.

You build good relationships with students and their guardians.

You collaborate closely with the school's other Swedish and English teachers and plan teaching together with them.

You will serve as a contact teacher together with a colleague for a class.

Together with other staff, you contribute to developing your workplace through ideas and suggestions for improvement.

Qualifications

• You are a certified teacher in Swedish/English for grades 7–9.
• You are well acquainted with the curriculum Lgr 22 and conduct teaching based on Chapter 1.
• You create a safe and inclusive learning environment and work actively with equity.
• You have a clear structure in your lessons.
• You are confident in formative and summative assessment, documentation, and grading.
• You have clear leadership skills and build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are flexible and have the student's best interest at the center.
