Experienced Cook for Staff Canteen in Kristinehamn – Excellent Working Hours 06:30–15:30!

Do you want daytime hours, fixed routines, a great team, and a workplace where morale, pace, and collaboration are in the air? We are now looking for a cook for our client's staff canteen in Kristinehamn, where we prepare and serve approximately 180–200 lunches every day.

About the Role

As a cook in the staff canteen, you are an important part of the guest experience – from planning and cooking to service and order in the kitchen. You thrive when there is action, enjoy collaborating, and maintain a positive attitude even when the pace is high.

Working Hours: 06:00–15:00 (weekdays)

Location: Kristinehamn

Scope: Full-time

Employment Type: Fixed-term contract for at least 6 months, with the possibility of extension and potentially permanent employment as our client grows.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare today's lunch and complementary dishes (e.g., vegetarian options, salads).
  • Preparations (mise en place), planning, and production.
  • Handle special diets and allergens, ensuring safe food handling.
  • Self-control, hygiene routines, and tidiness in the kitchen and prep area.
  • Orders and goods receipt (depending on setup).
  • Collaboration with colleagues for a smooth lunch flow.

Who We Are Looking For

You are stress-resistant, cheerful, positive, and have a sense of humor – and you like to create a good atmosphere around you. Above all, you have a "yes-attitude": here there are no problems, only solutions.

We believe you have:

  • Experience as a cook (preferably in restaurants, large kitchens, or staff canteens).
  • Good knowledge of hygiene, food safety, and self-control.
  • Ability to work structured at a high pace.
  • Good teamwork skills and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish (spoken and written).

Merits:
