Isn't it a joy to sing and play together and create magical moments with children and young people? We are now looking for you who want to inspire, motivate, and see every student's potential to develop and find joy in music creation at Vara Culture School.

Your role

You will teach individually and in groups, participate in joint projects with other teachers, such as performances, Open House events, school projects, etc. You will also actively participate in development work and recruitment to build and maintain a stable student base.

You have high social competence and are flexible in your contacts with students, parents, and colleagues. You find it easy to collaborate and can also take your own initiatives. It is also important to have good verbal and written skills and the ability to organize your work.

Your knowledge and experience

A music teacher degree or other education or experience that the employer deems equivalent, experience of similar work is meritorious.

Your future workplace

At Vara Culture School, approximately 250 students aged 4–19 attend. Here they can discover the joy of playing, singing, dancing, or creating within the subject of visual arts. We are now looking for a teacher with main subjects in singing, choir, and piano.

Teaching is conducted individually and in groups and takes place at the municipality's primary schools and in our own premises. Part of the position is performed in the afternoons/evenings.

We work with the platform StudyAlong.

Other

In our operations, all employees must present an extract from the criminal record register according to law (2000:873). The form can be downloaded at www.polisen.se/Service (the section regarding the extract from the criminal record register must always be included).
