Handicraft Teacher for Prismaskolan in Mariestad

Prismaskolan in Mariestad is a school for grades F-6 located in a scenic natural area near the center of Mariestad. Inaugurated in 2017, the school offers bright premises inspired by Lake Vänern and the surrounding nature. The facilities are designed to provide conditions for flexible teaching opportunities where school and after-school care collaborate. There is a large schoolyard with possibilities for varied activities.

For the autumn semester, we are now looking for a handicraft teacher for positions in both wood/metal and textile handicrafts who wants to be part of our good work at the school. Job Responsibilities

As a handicraft teacher, you will meet students from different grades here at Prismaskolan. With engagement and enthusiasm, you create a safe learning environment that stimulates students to joyful learning. You teach textile, as well as wood and metal handicrafts, and plan, conduct, and evaluate the teaching based on the curriculum and the school's goals. You work closely with colleagues in the work team to create an stimulating and safe learning environment.

Your role also includes the following tasks:

• Ordering materials.
• Collaborating with special education teachers and class teachers for clear support measures.
• Integrating digital tools and participating in cross-curricular projects.
• Monitoring and documenting student development.
• Supporting colleagues with inclusive methods and tools.

The employment is full-time and is to be filled by the start of school in August.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a teacher's degree with eligibility in wood/metal and textile handicrafts. Previous teaching experience in the subject as well as experience from inclusive teaching, such as regarding NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) and multilingualism, is meritorious.

You are an engaged educator who can inspire, motivate, and see every student's potential to reach the goals. We want you to be flexible and have good collaboration skills. You value building relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. You should also have the ability to develop the work based on the assignment, have creative thinking, and enjoy developing new ways of working.
