Östby School is a multicultural school with just over 180 students. Some of the students attend Östby School's preparatory class for newly arrived students. Currently, there are students with approximately 25 different mother tongues at the school.

Östby School is a school with strong positive development! The values work, the commitment and influence of the educators and students are the foundation for a good study environment characterized by security, study peace, and playfulness. About the job

Do you dream of working at a multicultural school together with wonderful students?

One of Östby School's skilled educators is moving on to a new assignment, and we are therefore looking for an after-school teacher.

Your future work at Östby School includes an engaged principal and thirty skilled educators. Together, we create the best conditions for our students' learning!

Your main task is to challenge students in their learning and support the student in their knowledge development towards set goals, together with colleagues in work teams. In addition to planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in school and at the after-school center, you will, together with colleagues in work teams, work on developing the school and the after-school center based on prioritized development areas and the unit's improvement work.

Who are you?

You are a certified after-school teacher. Your ability to create good, trusting relationships with students is a prerequisite.

We are looking for someone who is well acquainted with the subject's purpose, abilities, and knowledge requirements and is well versed in the school's view of knowledge and values mission.

You have the ability to motivate and create situations that contribute to meaningful learning and learning environments characterized by inclusion, variation, and interactivity. You have the ability to see and meet every student and base your approach on what works, as well as having broad leadership and stimulation in teaching.

Permanent position 100% starting autumn semester 2026.

We apply individual and differentiated salary setting. For the position, the monthly salary is between 36,000 and 40,000 SEK, depending on experience, education, and competence.

Extract from the Criminal Record

Before being offered employment, you as a candidate are required to present an extract from the criminal record for work in any of the following areas: school or preschool, work with children in other activities than school and childcare, work with children according to LSS (Act of Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), work at or in connection with HVB homes (Hem för vård eller boende – Home for care or residence), work with the elderly or persons with disabilities. You order the extract via the Police website. The extract must be presented before employment can begin.
