Utbynässkolan is a preschool class to grade 3 school with approximately 200 students and about 25 employees, including professionals within the student welfare team (EHT). It is a small and safe school with close proximity to nature and our school forest. The premises have been newly renovated with a completely new school cafeteria and gymnasium. The schoolyard has also recently been upgraded with new play equipment. At the school, we have an open atmosphere, and together with our ambitious students and engaged parents, we collaborate with a clear focus to create safety and well-being for the students.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for an engaged and confident teacher for grade 1. The position is fixed-term for the academic year 2026/2027 with a chance of becoming a permanent position.

As a teacher here, you are part of a work team where you together plan, implement, follow up, and develop teaching. You are responsible for creating varied, accessible, and enjoyable teaching with the students' knowledge development and well-being in focus.

The assignment includes teaching, mentorship, and close collaboration with students, guardians, colleagues, student welfare, and other staff.

You document and follow up on the students' development and actively contribute to the systematic quality work. Together with your colleagues, you work to ensure that all students are given good conditions to achieve the goals of the curriculum. You see the school's entire mission and contribute to common goals, a good work climate, and a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with eligibility for grades 1–3 and with broad subject eligibility. Eligibility in mathematics and Swedish is a requirement. Eligibility in music, Swedish as a second language, as well as eligibility or experience in teaching preschool class, are meritorious.

You are confident in your pedagogical leadership and have experience in meeting students in need of support, adaptations, and special measures.

You are team-oriented and actively contribute to a respectful work climate and a good working environment. You communicate professionally, are receptive to your surroundings, and have the ability to understand and meet different needs.

You work independently and proactively in your teaching, while also seeing the value of joint planning, collegial learning, and collaboration in the work team. You take responsibility for joint tasks and actively participate in the school's development work.
