Description

Jättestensskolan is a municipal primary school located in southern Biskopsgården, on Hisingen in Gothenburg. The catchment area is a mix of single-family homes, terraced houses, and apartment buildings. The school has approximately 600 students and around 75 employees. We are the school in Gothenburg with the highest application pressure for preschool class. The student health team and administration are located at the school, along with our own caretaker.

Jättestensskolan offers the complete primary school curriculum; preschool class, after-school care, and grades 1-9. We also offer recess activities and homework help. There are two schoolyards, and in addition to the regular classrooms, we have craft rooms, art rooms, science labs, music rooms, home economics rooms, a spacious gymnasium, and a large common room.

Responsibilities

Jättestensskolan is an active school, and we place great emphasis on physical activity because we are convinced that it creates good conditions for learning for our students and a good working environment for our staff.

We offer an exciting and challenging assignment where you work with the purpose and goal that all students should have a meaningful, stimulating, and challenging activity based on the National Curriculum. The position includes planning, implementation, and evaluation of teaching in your subjects, which is done in collaboration with your teaching colleagues. Mentoring is also part of the assignment. All teachers have the opportunity for planning during work hours on Thursdays.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the eligibility to teach grades 4-6 in Swedish and Social Studies (SO).

You are an engaged educator with good collaboration skills and a positive attitude, and you have the ability to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
