French Teacher Grades 6–9 – 100% Position at IES Sigtuna
International English School Sigtuna is looking for a qualified and enthusiastic French teacher for grades 6–9 for a 100% position starting in August 2026.
As a language and subject teacher at IES, you will be part of an international and values-driven team where you are expected to plan, implement, and follow up on teaching according to the Swedish National Curriculum (Lgr22). You will teach French to students in grades 6–9 and serve as a mentor for a group of students.
We are looking for you who want to work in a safe and structured school environment where study environment, respect, and high expectations characterize the teaching. You are a clear leader in the classroom, create engagement, and adapt your teaching to the students' different needs and prerequisites.
The role includes:
- Planning, implementing, and following up on French teaching.
- Mentoring responsibility for a group of students.
- Collaborating with colleagues and the student health team to support all students' development.
- Providing clear, regular feedback to students and guardians.
- Actively contributing to the school's values and good work climate.
We are looking for someone who is:
- A certified teacher in French for compulsory school (grades 6–9).
- Positive, flexible, and engaged.
- Confident in your role as a classroom leader.
- Experienced in collaborating in teams and contributing to collegial development.
- Interested in working in an international school environment.

Requirements:
- Teacher certification with eligibility in French.
- Certificate of good conduct (extract from the Swedish Police Authority's Register of Offenses) for work in schools.
