Course Leader in Finnish, Gothenburg

Folkuniversitetet in Gothenburg offers courses in languages from all over the world, and we are also an IELTS and Swedex test center. We are now looking for a course leader for an evening course in Finnish on a hourly basis. Application deadline: August 10, 2026.

The Role

Our course operations offer daytime and evening courses as well as longer education programs and lectures within areas such as languages, economics, communication, writing, health, and sustainable development in languages from all over the world. We are also an IELTS and Swedex test center. Our courses are aimed at private individuals as well as corporate clients and the public sector, and our teaching is characterized by a communicative approach to language learning. We offer courses at all levels during the day year-round, and in the evenings from January to June and September to December.

The role of Course Leader in Finnish involves teaching one evening per week starting from the autumn term of 2026.

Your Qualifications and Background

We are looking for someone with excellent knowledge of the Finnish language and an interest in cultural and societal issues concerning Finland. You must also have good proficiency in Swedish. It is an advantage if you have education and experience in teaching adults or other experience in leading groups.

As a teacher at Folkuniversitetet, you are expected to have the ability to tailor teaching to individuals and bring out each person's potential.
