Your responsibilities

You play a central role in developing and strengthening the systematic quality work of secondary schools. The work is carried out in close collaboration with management, principals, and developers to create sustainable structures for analysis, follow-up, and improvement. A key part of the assignment is to contribute to strengthening principals' pedagogical leadership and to develop forms of professional learning for teachers, lead teachers, and school leaders.

You lead and support development processes where research is translated into practical operational development, contributing to a culture where quality work becomes a tool for learning and development. The role also involves initiating and participating in research and development projects, collaborating with universities and other research environments, and contributing to strengthening the research connection within secondary education. You also participate in internal and external collaboration forums and handle certain administrative tasks related to the assignment.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who have a Licentiate or PhD degree in pedagogy, didactics, school development, educational science, or another relevant field. You have good knowledge of systematic quality work, pedagogical leadership, and school development, as well as experience in translating research into concrete operational development.

To succeed in the role, you need to have a good understanding of the governance, organization, and mission of secondary schools. You have experience in competence development, process facilitation, and strategic development work, as well as very strong analytical skills. As a person, you are relationship-building and have an easy time building trust and creating sustainable collaborations. You work long-term, structured, and have the ability to engage others in joint development processes.

It is meritorious if you have experience in leadership positions within schools, work with quality development at the authority level, professional development for lead teachers, or practice-oriented research. We also view established collaborations with universities or other research environments positively.

In connection with the interview, you need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or alternatively a population registration certificate together with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the obligation to have a work permit.
