Bromma City District Administration is one of the city's eleven districts. Bromma is located close to central Stockholm and by Lake Mälaren with its beautiful green nature.

Brommagården is a care and support residence for people with dementia. The operation is characterized by stability, participation, and high competence, and is located in a scenic park near Bromma Church. Our operation is based on holistic thinking, openness, respectful treatment, and responsibility. The elderly person's integrity and right to self-determination are obvious prerequisites for our work, so that the elderly person feels involved in their daily life and in their care and support. We place great emphasis on a good reception of the elderly person and their relatives in various meetings. We work in multiprofessional teams and take part in the elderly person's life story to create security, meaningfulness, and a sense of coherence. We strive for good relationships with relatives and see them as a valuable resource in our work, thus placing great importance on a good treatment of the elderly person and their relatives.

Your role

As a nursing assistant (undersköterska), you shall provide good care, social support, and service efforts to the elderly according to decisions from the assistance officer. You shall help and support care recipients in daily life to promote their functional ability and help with care recipients' social contacts. You shall be responsible for ensuring that the elderly person participates in various activities and receives stimulation for their well-being, as well as offering the elderly person the opportunity for outdoor activity. You shall also have contact with relatives, participate in care planning, and social documentation. You must also follow the routines and regulations that exist at the workplace.

Your qualifications and experience

You must have the protected professional title of nursing assistant (undersköterska).

You must have worked in dementia care and support for at least 1–3 years. You must be accustomed to documenting. You must have experience in the profession.

We will place great emphasis on personal qualities and good references. We need you who are secure, stress-resistant, and have personal maturity. You must also be service-oriented and sensitive to care recipients' needs. You value differences and understand that different backgrounds, cultures, and group affiliations can affect oneself and others in different ways. You have good cooperation skills and are happy to share your own knowledge and experiences, and are open to learning from others. You have empathy in your meeting with other people and have a genuine interest in working in the profession. You are expected to be flexible, as the work requires it.

The value base of elderly care permeates our operation, and you must be able to implement the value base in your daily work.

A work trial will be applied for applicants who are called for an interview.

To work with the elderly and adults with disabilities in their homes for Stockholm City, you must show an extract from the Police's criminal record and suspicion register. You order the extract yourself, and it must not be older than 6 months from the date of issue.
