The responsibility of the Care and Elderly Care Administration is to provide care, support, and assistance to the elderly and people with disabilities, as well as support their relatives. Our goal is to provide good conditions for an independent, stimulating, and secure living situation around the clock, with the citizen in focus. We are 2,500 employees who, in our various roles, provide support and care to those citizens who need it.

We are now looking for two assistant nurses for weekend shifts. One position is located at a short-term care facility and covers 21.30 percent, with work every other even weekend.

The second position is located on a dementia ward and covers 31.76 percent, with work every other even weekend and one odd weekend.

This type of employment does not include night shifts.

The Role and Responsibilities

As an assistant nurse, you are responsible for providing good care and support where the resident's needs dictate the daily tasks. The work is characterized by responsibility and person-centered care with a rehabilitative approach, so that residents can maintain and/or develop their abilities.

Your responsibilities include:

• Meeting the residents' individual needs for care, nursing, and service.
• Carrying out delegated and regular healthcare interventions according to the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL).
• Creating and following up on implementation plans in dialogue and participation with the residents.
• Daily documentation in Lifecare according to the Social Services Act (SoL) as well as risk assessments related to both the residents and the work environment.
• Providing residents with social and emotional support.
• Contributing to a good work environment and a climate characterized by our core values.
• Performing health and medical care tasks based on delegation.
• You perform your work with great empathy, sensitivity, and understanding for the individual's wishes and needs, ensuring that interventions are carried out in the best possible way.

We work in a team-based manner, which means close collaboration between colleagues, administrators, deputy unit manager, unit manager, and HSL staff. Together, we continuously work to develop the operations and ensure high quality. Being close to the individual and their relatives is also important.

Working Hours and Schedule

We work with joint planning, which means you have a base unit where you are scheduled for most of the time, but rotation may also occur, meaning you will also work on other wards. We base our schedule on a four-week basic plan, and we assume that you are available to work on all days of the year.

Who You Are

Requirements:

• You have education from the Care and Support Program or equivalent assistant nurse education from Komvux or University College.
• You have at least six months of work experience in care and support, preferably elderly care.
• You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and can adapt your communication to the recipient and situation.
• You are experienced in documenting according to the Social Services Act.
• You are computer literate and have experience working in digital operational systems.

Merits:

• You have education or experience in dementia, social psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, or care for multi-morbid persons.
• You have experience with the Lifecare operational system.
• You have delegation for tracheostomy, PEG, and ventilator.
