Jefferson Wells is now seeking an experienced Data Protection Officer for a consultancy assignment in Halmstad.

About the Role

As a Data Protection Officer, you work independently and support the organization in ensuring compliance with data protection legislation. The role involves close collaboration with management and various parts of the business, where you act as an advisor on matters related to GDPR.

You work broadly with monitoring, auditing, and developing procedures related to personal data handling.

Responsibilities

The assignment includes acting as a Data Protection Officer according to GDPR, providing advice to management and operations, and ensuring that the organization complies with data protection legislation.

You work with impact assessments, support incident handling and supervisory matters, and contribute to raising the knowledge level in the organization through training and dialogue. Furthermore, you monitor and audit internal processes related to personal data handling.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with several years of experience as a Data Protection Officer who has worked in the public sector, for example within authorities, municipalities, or regions.

You have excellent knowledge of GDPR and Swedish data protection legislation, as well as experience in advisory, auditing, and supervision. You are accustomed to working independently and driving issues within an organization.

Experience from a region or county council is advantageous, as is a legal background, experience with information security, and experience from larger organizations.
