Our Operations

Ward 30E has 25 beds where we treat internal medicine patients, predominantly those with cardiovascular diseases such as heart failure, aortic diseases, high blood pressure, and venous thrombosis. We have eight telemetry beds for heart monitoring. The medicine ward is staffed 24/7. Working as an assistant nurse at Akademiska sjukhuset is an exciting job where you will meet people in many different situations. You will also become part of a skilled team consisting of doctors, nurses, other assistant nurses, paramedics, and dispensers who support and help each other, while you will also work independently. Here, you can expect a varied job with challenging tasks.

Your Role

As an assistant nurse, you will be responsible for patient care and perform medical-technical procedures such as catheterization and blood sampling.

Your Qualifications and Competence

We are looking for you who are a licensed assistant nurse and wish to take on the task of caring for people with acute needs for medical treatment with dedication and pride. You are thorough and place extra focus on creating a sense of security for patients during their stay and upon discharge. We see that you enjoy working with and for people, you have a good manner of dealing with others, and good teamwork skills. You are innovative, proactive, responsible, flexible, and have a positive attitude. On the ward, there is often a high patient flow since most patients arrive acutely, so it is important that you like to be structured and efficient, have the ability to lead the work, and can switch work pace when needed.

What We Offer

We offer a permanent full-time position (or part-time by agreement), with a probationary period. Start date by agreement. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
