Specialist Dentist in Dentoalveolar Surgery – Folktandvården Tierp

Folktandvården Uppsala offers both internal and external applicants the opportunity to apply for a position as a Specialist Dentist in Dentoalveolar Surgery. We are looking for you who are a licensed dentist with at least 5 years of clinical experience in general dentistry and have a documented interest in dentoalveolar surgery.

This position is based at Folktandvården Tierp.

The Role of the Specialist Dentist

The role of the specialist dentist is to serve as a resource within general dentistry across the entire organization and to act as a referral center for other Folktandvården clinics. As a specialist dentist, you are the contact person for the clinic within your specialty area. The specialist dentist is also responsible for monitoring the development of the subject area within dentistry and assisting with competence development in the field. You are expected to provide guidance to the clinic's other dentists within this area.

As a specialist dentist, you will work with both dental care within your specialty area and conventional general dentistry. The workload within the specialty area will be distributed evenly throughout the year.

Requirements and Competence

>In addition to at least 5 years of experience as a general dentist, it is required that you, as a specialist dentist, have documented clinical experience and theoretical knowledge of the following:

• Performing more complex extractions.
• Performing all types of dentoalveolar surgery, such as removal of impacted teeth and root fragments.

It is not a requirement that the applicant for the specialist dentist position possesses clinical experience in the following areas to qualify, but you must have at least the theoretical competence and ability to handle the following procedures:

• Biopsies where malignancy is not suspected.
• Implant surgery (single and sections).
• Management and treatment of dental trauma.
• Management and treatment of minor infections.

Our Operations

At our pleasant clinic with nine newly renovated treatment rooms, we currently have 19 employees. It is a dedicated group of staff who together create a good working climate and a good work environment. We provide modern and health-oriented dental care. We also have a very well-functioning mobile elderly dental care service. To continue offering our patients close and accessible care, we are now looking for a specialist dentist in surgery.

We want to create conditions for our employees to feel well, which is why we offer a health allowance of 3,000 SEK per year. For this position, there is also a location allowance of 6,000 SEK per month, as well as the possibility of salary exchange regarding the UL card. We also offer a shoe allowance of 400 SEK.
