Payroll Consultant with Coordination Role

About the Operations

As our operations are in a comprehensive phase of development and change, and we have several ongoing projects, we need to strengthen our team. We are now looking for a payroll consultant who, in addition to the regular consulting assignment, wants to take on a time-limited coordination role and contribute to the development of our working methods, processes, and team.

You will be part of a payroll team that provides service and advisory support to our customers within the Region of Västra Götaland. As a team coordinator, you will have an important role in planning and creating structure while working operationally as a payroll consultant.

The Department of Property, Support and Services develops processes and solutions that make it easy for our customers within the Region of Västra Götaland to focus on their core activities.

About the Work

As a payroll consultant, you work to provide qualified support to managers and employees regarding scheduling, payroll, and contract issues. The role involves both administrative and advisory tasks where service, quality, and efficiency are in focus.

You contribute as a payroll consultant by:

• providing support via phone and through our case management system regarding scheduling, payroll, and contract issues
• registering and conducting quality controls in the payroll process
• drafting employment contracts and certificates
• conducting educational and informational initiatives
• contributing to the achievement of the organization's goals for service, quality, and delivery

Coordination Role

In addition to the role as a payroll consultant, you will initially have a time-limited coordination role for one year.

As a team coordinator, you play a central role in ensuring efficient operations and high quality in our deliveries. You work closely with other team coordinators and the unit manager, contributing to creating structure, coordination, and development within Payroll Services.

The assignment includes among other things:

• responsibility for the team's work processes and contributing to an efficient workflow
• following up on and planning work based on statistics, operational needs, and recurring tasks
• collaborating with other team coordinators to ensure common priorities
• driving and participating in change and improvement work
• planning and leading team meetings and creating conditions for participation and dialogue
• responsibility for planning introductions for new employees and students within LIA (workplace-based learning)
• regularly reporting back to the unit manager regarding the team's current status and development
• being an active resource in the team and contributing to daily operational work

About You

We are looking for you who have post-secondary education in payroll administration. Alternatively, you have other education that, combined with experience in payroll administration or similar, is assessed as equivalent.

You have experience working with payroll-related cases and are accustomed to providing customer support via phone. Your digital competence is good, and you easily understand, learn, and work in different systems and digital working methods.

As a person, you are engaged, self-reliant, and take responsibility for your own development while contributing to the team's success. You thrive in an operation that develops and changes and are ready to take initiative to improve both working methods and processes.

We value good collaboration skills highly, as you will work closely with your colleagues and in collaboration with other parts of the operation. You have a very good ability to create and maintain trusting relationships with colleagues, customers, and partners.

To succeed in the coordination role, we see that in addition to meeting the qualifications for the payroll consultant role, you are structured, solution-oriented, and have the ability to create engagement and participation in the group. You have documented good ability and enjoy planning, coordinating, and following up on work, as well as seeing both the big picture and the details that affect quality and delivery. You are unpretentious, communicative, and enjoy developing working methods together with others.

Furthermore, you are flexible and have an easy time reprioritizing when operational needs change. You work carefully and structured to ensure high quality in deliveries.

Our organizational language is Swedish, which means you need to master the Swedish language well in both speech and writing.

Merits

It is an advantage if you:

• have previously worked in the payroll system Heroma
• have experience with case management systems
• are accustomed to understanding, interpreting, and applying contracts and regulations
• have experience coordinating tasks, process leadership, and informal leadership
