SJR is now looking for an Interim Controller for a full-time consulting assignment with our client, a larger logistics group with offices in Borås. The assignment starts as soon as possible and initially runs for 6 months, with good opportunities for extension. Hybrid work is possible, but you are expected to be on-site in Borås a few days a week.
About the role
The assignment involves close collaboration with management, where you work both operationally and strategically. You serve as a key support in daily operations while contributing to driving improvement initiatives and creating structure in reporting and follow-up. The role also entails some people-management responsibility, where your presence and availability are crucial for the team's efficiency and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Handle ongoing accounting matters together with the team.
- Serve as an accessible support to the finance team in daily work.
- Be responsible for contact with auditors.
- Ensure and develop monthly reporting.
- Create and follow up on liquidity forecasts.
- Drive cost-saving projects and implement measures in dialogue with suppliers.
- Initiate and drive improvement work, such as the implementation of a purchasing module in ERP.
- Develop reporting structures together with the Controller based on the new organization (e.g., per customer, site, and business area).
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have solid experience within accounting and controlling, preferably from a role with both operational and strategic responsibility. You have a good understanding of financial processes and are accustomed to working closely with the management group or CFO. Previous experience in change management, system implementations, or efficiency projects is highly meritorious. You are confident in handling complex issues and have good experience working in business systems.

You thrive in a role where you take responsibility and drive issues forward, while being receptive and engaged in the team's work. Your communication skills are good, and you easily build trust both internally and externally. You are structured, unpretentious, and have a natural aptitude for combining operational work with a strategic perspective.
