Do you want to take on a senior controller role where you will work closely with management, R&D, and finance in a complex and innovation-driven environment? We are now looking for an experienced Senior R&D Controller for a consulting assignment in Gothenburg, starting June 15, 2026 and running until December 31, 2026.

In this role, you will hold a visible and business-close position where you contribute to increased financial transparency, clearer decision-making support, and better control of a comprehensive R&D portfolio. You will support and challenge senior stakeholders, create structure in complex information, and translate business activities into clear financial insights.

Your main responsibilities ✨

You will, among other things, work with the financial management of the R&D portfolio, planning and forecasting, scenario analysis, as well as monitoring costs, resources, and performance against set goals. The role also involves creating management reporting with a focus on insights, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.

You will also contribute to investment and business case work, strengthen financial routines and working methods, and act as a reliable advisor and constructive challenger to managers and decision-makers. The assignment requires close collaboration between R&D, finance, and other functions, and may also involve contact with external partners regarding reporting and decision support.

We are looking for someone who has:

• An academic degree in economics, finance, industrial economics, or similar
• Approximately 7+ years of experience in controlling, FP&A, or business partnering in a complex environment
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions
• Strong skills in financial analysis, forecasting, and performance management
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial flows
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and good system understanding
• Fluent English in both speech and writing

It is an advantage if you have experience with SAP, Power BI, R&D controlling, project controlling, or product development environments.

As a person, you are structured, pragmatic, and delivery-focused. You quickly grasp new contexts, are confident in driving dialogues with senior stakeholders, and thrive on creating clarity even when information is complex or incomplete.
