About the Role
Do you want to strengthen civil society and contribute to a sustainable society?
We are looking for a committed Club Development Officer who wants to help create the conditions for a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable club life. Through close collaboration with clubs, organizations, residents, and municipal operations, you will contribute to strengthening participation, community, safety, and social sustainability.
Here, you will have a varied assignment where you combine strategic development work with practical support to the club sector. You will become an important link between the municipality and civil society, contributing to creating good living conditions for the residents.

As a Club Development Officer, you work to develop and strengthen local club life within the city district and create good conditions for collaboration between civil society and the municipality.
The assignment includes processing club grants according to the Social Services Board's guidelines. You assess applications, make or prepare decisions, follow up on approved grants, and ensure that grant funds are used according to established criteria.
You provide advice, support, and guidance to clubs on issues related to grants, club development, democratic processes, organizational development, and business planning. You also plan and conduct training for club activists.
You actively work on building relationships, creating networks, increasing dialogue, and developing forms of collaboration between clubs, municipal operations, and other actors.
The role also involves collaborating to develop and strengthen social sustainability, participation, and inclusion in the city district. You monitor issues related to civil society and contribute knowledge and development perspectives to the administration's work.
About You
We are looking for you who have a university degree, at least 3 years, in social sciences, social work, public administration, or other education that the employer deems relevant. You have good knowledge and experience of working within the club sector, as well as an understanding of its challenges and opportunities.
Meritorious is also experience of activity systems where the user themselves participates in the development, configuration, and improvement of the system's functions.
We are looking for you who are self-reliant, responsible, and confident in making decisions within the framework of your assignment. You take initiative, drive your work forward, and see opportunities for development and improvement.
You have good cooperation skills and build trusting relationships by being responsive, respectful, and clear in your communication. You can stand behind decisions made and convey even challenging messages in a professional manner.
Furthermore, you have good analytical skills and can identify the core of complex issues, see connections, and propose solutions. You express yourself well in speech and writing and have good administrative skills.

The intended salary range for the position is 42,000 - 47,000 SEK per month. The salary is based on a combined assessment of your education, experience, and competencies you bring into the role. About Us
The Social Services Administration Southwest is one of four social services administrations in the City of Gothenburg with around 900 employees. In the city district of Southwest, approximately 120,000 residents live, and the area stretches from Billdal to Högsbohöjd and to the southern archipelago. The administration's mission is that children, young people, and adults should be able to live a safe and independent life and that children and young people have a rich leisure time. The administration also works to support people experiencing homelessness into permanent housing. Through collaboration with civil society, local business, and other actors, we aim to increase public health and safety in the area.
