Description

The Guidance and Support Unit is tasked with guiding and creating conditions for residents of Lysekil who need support to achieve employment, studies, or other sustainable livelihoods. The unit consists of a manager and 19 employees and is part of the Working Life Administration, which also handles labor market initiatives, adult education, day activities, and employment.

As we adapt our operations in accordance with the new Social Services Act and introduced activity requirements, we now need to strengthen our team with a social secretary specializing in social change work.

The position is part of a team that works motivationally with adults to increase participation and move towards self-sufficiency. The daily workplace is located at the Swedish Church's social and diaconal work, while the employment is within the municipality's social services. There, you will belong to a work group consisting of a supervisor, six social secretaries, and a social administrator, who together work with support for self-sufficiency and economic assistance.

Responsibilities

As a social secretary specializing in social change work, you meet, guide, and coach individuals on their path to self-sufficiency through work, studies, or other benefits. You work with a group of participants where the focus is on motivating for long-term change and increased participation.

The work is based on a relationship-building approach where the individual's own goals, motivation, and resources are at the center. You work closely with your colleagues in the team and collaborate with other key actors, such as healthcare, the Swedish Public Employment Service, and the Swedish Social Insurance Agency. Through cooperation and coordination, you contribute to creating the best possible conditions for the individual's development and progress.

Authority exercises within economic assistance may become relevant if needed.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a relevant university degree in social work or behavioral science.

It is meritorious if you have:

• experience in social change work with individuals who are far from the labor market
• experience in motivational work to support individuals into employment
• knowledge of current legislation and economic assistance
• good communicative skills in both speech and writing

• flexible and able to adapt your working methods to the individual's needs
• solution-focused and motivated by contributing to change

Conditions

Permanent position, full-time (probation may apply).
