About the Department

The Authority Department belongs to the Elderly and Care Administration in Mariestad Municipality. We are 14 people working here, three of whom are LSS Case Workers, and this position is placed within that team. Here, you have the opportunity to influence your daily life as we build together!

Responsibilities

As an LSS Case Worker, you will primarily work with investigation, assessment, decision-making, and follow-up of interventions according to the LSS Act (Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). We use the business system Lifecare and process cases according to IBIC (Individual Needs in Focus).

The investigative work involves collecting information, compiling, and analyzing it to then make decisions and follow up based on current legislation. During case processing, you will have close cooperation internally but also externally with authorities and other actors. We work actively with legal certainty and quality, and we value good meetings. Environmental scanning is also part of the work to stay updated on legal precedents, news within legislative areas, etc.

You will receive an introduction tailored to your needs and prior knowledge, with close support from colleagues, management, and external supervision.

Our workplace is located at Drottninggatan 1 in Mariestad, and we work daytime, Monday-Friday. The position is full-time and permanent. A probationary period may apply.

In the long term, the position may be combined with tasks involving quality follow-up.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for you with a degree in Social Work or other education that the employer finds relevant. We would like you to have previous experience as an LSS Case Worker and thus have good knowledge of current legislation.

In the work, you need to be responsive, flexible, meticulous, and enjoy meeting people in different situations. You need to be able to work independently, structured, and prioritize tasks. You also need to be able to collaborate and preferably contribute to the group's joint development. You master the Swedish language both in speech and writing and have the ability to adapt information to the people you meet in your work.

A valid B-driver's license is required.
