The Swedish National Service and Testing Authority is establishing itself in Umeå! Do you want to be part of it from the start?

We are now looking for licensed nurses who want to help launch our new testing office in Umeå. The office opens in autumn 2026 and is centrally located in newly renovated premises next to the Ume River. Most of the interviews are planned to be held there during weeks 33-34.

At the testing units, physicians, psychologists, nurses, and administrators work together with our case handlers. In total, there will be approximately 60 colleagues when everyone is in place.

Your responsibilities

As a nurse at the Swedish National Service and Testing Authority, you work independently based on our established methods and guidelines with healthy individuals. Your main task is to conduct medical examinations, assessments, and selections for applicants to education and employment within, among others, the Swedish Armed Forces.

Your work is part of a joint testing chain, which means you do not have booked appointments but solve the day's tasks in collaboration with others.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Are a nurse with a license issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare.
• Have a few years of work experience from clinical work in a patient-oriented activity.
• Can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is an advantage if you have experience from:

• Health centers or occupational health services.
• Different forms of reception work.

About the employment

Permanent full-time position starting with a probationary period. The place of work is Umeå, but business travel occurs. Start date: week 5, 2027.

You will naturally receive a thorough introduction when you start with us. Some parts are conducted at our other testing offices, which means travel during your first weeks as an employee.

Due to the nature of the operations, you cannot work from home, but we hope this instead contributes to a clearer division between work and leisure. You have the opportunity to exercise during working hours and are offered a favorable wellness allowance. The employment is security classified, and we therefore conduct a security check with register control according to the provisions of the Security Protection Act. The employment entails an obligation to be mobilized in case of war.
