Description

Within the Faculty of Medicine, the Clinical Training Center (Clinicum Betula) serves as an educational environment for training practical skills, scenario-based training, and intra- and inter-professional team training. Clinicum Betula is primarily used for education in nursing, radiography, sexual and reproductive health, as well as for the medical program.

Other programs at the Faculty of Medicine also utilize parts of Clinicum Betula for training. We are now seeking an Instructional Nurse at 50% employment, starting as agreed.

Responsibilities

The position involves partial management of the Clinical Training Center Clinicum Betula, as well as teaching and supervision in practical skills training within the nursing and specialist programs. Managing Clinicum Betula involves planning and organizing the conditions for teaching in collaboration with other staff, as well as contributing to the development of the operations. Teaching primarily takes place in practical sessions within the nursing programs but also in other programs and courses at the Faculty of Medicine. Administrative tasks are also included. The workplace is in Umeå, but teaching in other locations may occur.

Qualifications

It is highly meritorious if you have worked at a clinical training center where you have experience handling the equipment, materials, and simulators used in the faculty's education programs. Experience in teaching practical moments, simulation, and holding an ACLS/BLS instructor certification is a requirement. Additionally, pedagogical education or experience in teaching practical skills and simulation is valued.

Requirements

To be eligible for employment as an Instructional Nurse, you must be a licensed nurse in nursing care.
