We are looking for a Radiographer/Biomedical Scientist for Nuclear Medicine in Umeå

Imaging and Functional Medicine (BFM) Västerbotten operates extensive activities at Norrlands University Hospital in Umeå, Skellefteå Hospital, Lycksele Hospital, as well as at health centers in southern Lapland. BFM Västerbotten is responsible for all types of imaging radiological examinations, including nuclear medicine, as well as advanced peripheral and neurointervention. In the county, in addition to conventional equipment, there are 5 modern MRI units (including two 3T MRI scanners), 9 CT units (including 1 photon-counting CT), 2 Gamma cameras, 2 PET/CT scanners, a cyclotron, and an active tracer chemistry operation. The clinic performs approximately 190,000 examinations per year.
Research is conducted in collaboration with Umeå University, with a focus on fMRI and nuclear medicine using PET/CT, where international collaborative projects are underway. Education for doctors and radiographers is also conducted in collaboration with the university. We are now looking for a Radiographer or Biomedical Scientist to join Imaging and Functional Medicine Västerbotten, based at the Nuclear Medicine department in Umeå. At the unit, we work with both traditional nuclear medicine and PET/CT.

Job Responsibilities
As a Radiographer or Biomedical Scientist in nuclear medicine, you will be offered varied tasks. You are responsible for patient care, handling radioactive isotopes, and administering injections. You perform examinations, image handling, and image quality control. The work is independent but carried out in close collaboration with colleagues. The location is in Umeå, and the work is primarily during daytime hours, although some evening shifts may occur.
Qualifications and Merits
You are a licensed Radiographer or Biomedical Scientist with nuclear medicine and PET/CT in your education, or equivalent professional experience as assessed by the employer. Previous work within nuclear medicine, PET/CT, research, or development work is advantageous.
