The Elderly Care in Umeå Municipality aims to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life through proximity and interaction.

Teg Care and Housing Facility is beautifully located by the Ume River with close access to nice green areas. The facility consists of 101 apartments distributed across 10 units. A comprehensive renovation and reconstruction has been carried out in the main building and was completed in 2013.

Here you will find a café, a meeting room for activities and entertainment, as well as a light room. The assembly hall can be booked by residents and relatives for, for example, birthday dinners or other gatherings. Relatives have the opportunity to stay overnight in a relative's room. We also have a unit with a Sami profile, which means Sami elements in both outdoor and indoor environments, including a special fireplace, Sami art, and celebration of Sami holidays.

Your Responsibilities

You support residents in their daily lives by assisting with personal care, meals, cleaning, and various activities. On delegation from the responsible nurse, you may also perform medical tasks. Documentation of performed interventions and residents' health status is an important part of the work.

As a contact person, you work with the resident's needs and decision-making power at the center. You ensure that interventions are carried out with high quality according to the assistance decision and implementation plan.

Working hours are scheduled during days and evenings with weekend duties.

About You

In your interaction with residents, it is required that you are empathetic, driven, and solution-focused, and possess personal maturity. You show great commitment to both users and the operation in all relationships and actions. You enjoy working independently and have a good ability to collaborate and work together with colleagues, relatives, and other professions. We place great emphasis on personal suitability in this recruitment.

Requirements

• Trained nursing assistant
• Experience in care and housing work
• To communicate with users, relatives, and colleagues, write and read care documentation, and receive medical delegation, you must have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing

Merits

Lifting heavy loads occurs, so transfer aids must be used.
