Then you might be the one we are looking for! We are now seeking an engaged pedagogical supervisor who wants to support our employees and contribute to high quality in the work with individuals covered by the Support and Service Act for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS).

The Functional Support Department makes a real difference in people's daily lives and creates the conditions for an independent and meaningful life for all. The department offers support and services to children, young people, and adults with functional impairments. We work based on the LSS and the Social Services Act to strengthen the individual's independence, security, and participation. The department covers day activities, housing with special service, housing for social support, support and service housing, short-term housing for children, leisure activities, relief and escort services, as well as personal assistance. You report directly to the Department Manager and your physical workplace is at Vändpunkten together with your colleagues in the Pedagogical Team.

Job Responsibilities

The Pedagogical Team consists of four pedagogical supervisors. We collaborate with each other and serve as a supportive function for users and staff within the various operations of the Functional Support Department. As a pedagogical supervisor with us, you play a key role in ensuring quality, legal certainty, and an evidence-based approach in the operations. Based on current research, the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations, and the municipality's value base, you develop, implement, and follow up on methods, approaches, and structures that meet both the users' and the organization's needs. Always with a focus on the individual's participation, independence, and development.

You conduct cognitive and communicative assessments and produce aids aimed at increasing participation and independence for the user. You supervise, educate, and support employees in their tasks. You collaborate with the unit manager, other pedagogical supervisors, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and nurses. The Pedagogical Team also collaborates locally, regionally, and nationally in various forums. Qualifications

You must have a university/college education as a licensed occupational therapist, speech-language pathologist, or teacher with a degree from the special education program. Merits include knowledge in cognition and communication as well as experience within LSS. We are looking for you who are positive and solution-focused, with a strong desire to help others. You are a team player with good collaboration skills who also takes responsibility for your own work and development. It is important that you share the intentions of the LSS. Since there are documentation requirements in the position, you must have good computer skills and be able to express yourself clearly in spoken and written Swedish. Personal suitability is highly valued. It is important that you share our value base and value Diversity – Efficiency – Innovation and Attractiveness. Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.

Requirement: Class B driver's license.

Working Hours/Duration

Full-time, permanent position with flexible working hours according to agreement. Probationary period may apply.

Salary

Monthly salary, individual salary setting.
