Social Pedagog for Sheltered Housing for Violence Survivors

aMHigo operates sheltered housing for women, men, and children exposed to violence. We admit individuals with ViNR (National Database on Violence against Women) cases and honor-related issues. We offer both collective housing for women and children, as well as individual sheltered apartments for women, men, and children. Residents in our operations may, in addition to experiencing violence, also have various forms of mental disabilities.
With new legislation regarding sheltered housing coming into effect, we are now seeking a person responsible for the adults in the housing facility.
Your Role:
As staff at our sheltered housing, you are responsible for ensuring that the residents' needs are met in accordance with legislative requirements. You will work to promote independent living for those residing in the facility. You will work with both adults and children. Your duties will be varied and include, among other things:
- Creating implementation plans, carrying out interventions, and following up on these.
- Practical tasks such as assisting with moving, cleaning, grocery shopping, and laundry.
- Supporting residents in their contact with authorities, healthcare, police, schools, the Public Employment Service, etc.
- Assisting residents in applying for confidentiality markings and protected addresses.
- Picking up new residents.
- Participating in security planning.
- Participating in collaboration with partners.
- Documenting according to the Social Services Act.
Qualifications:
Working in a sheltered housing facility requires sensitivity and a flexible approach. The tasks are varied, and acute situations may arise. We are looking for someone who:
- Has at least a two-year post-secondary education with a focus on social pedagogy, behavioral sciences, or equivalent.
- Has a valid B-class driver's license.
- Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
We prefer that you:
- Have at least two years of work experience in social work, preferably with experience working with violence-exposed individuals and children.
- Enjoy working independently as well as collaborating in a team.
It is an advantage if you have previously worked in a supportive role and have experience talking with people in vulnerable life situations.
We will request extracts from the suspicion and criminal records registry.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability, and the selection process will be ongoing. The position may be filled before the application deadline expires.
Working Hours:
Working hours are primarily during the day. In the event of acute situations or new placement requests, evening and weekend work may occur. On-call duties during evenings, nights, and weekends are included in the position.
